There are different stages and severity of bulging disc. If it is caught earlier there will be a high success rate to correct and manage the problem. If it is in the later stages and more severe then the results will be varied and more results can result.
Exercise can help disc problems but what I see is that people do way too much stretches early on which doesn’t allow properly healing and when the pain subsides they do nothing and return to normal life only for it to flare up and then they try to stretch when they are in pain again.
Step 1: Get a proper diagnosis
Find a suitable Chiropractor that you connect with to guide you through the process. A thorough health history, physical and neurological examination and even scans may be needed. It's important to spend time to work out exactly the severity of the disc damage.
Step 2: Correct treatment plan
Once the degree of disc damage has been established then you can start treatment. It could be quite conservative and gentle to begin with to reduce the discomfort, you might get some basic exercises to do at home but all natural healing takes time.
Step 3: Review and Revise
After a period of treatment there should be a review of our progress and revision of what the next step to take. It could be strengthening, core stability, postural correction or even leg stretches that is needed to prevent future episodes.
